We are a group of high school students from around Rochester Community Schools in the great state of Michigan. Our mission is to help rebuild our community in as many ways as possible while coming out of quarantine and self isolation and into a new "normal" life. Our goal is to create a unified, cohesive community that is able to come together and rely on each other in hard times, and amplify youth voices to allow them to make a change! We have created several programs to help residents of Rochester and nearby cities, especially those in need during the pandemic.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
Throughout the pandemic everyone has struggled in some sort of way, and the only thing we can do is try to help those people. We know and acknowledge that everyone's situation is different, but we try to lend a helping hand wherever we can. We care about everyone in our community, and know that there may be little we can do to help, but we will still try to do it.
HOW WILL WE GO ABOUT DOING THIS?
In order to effectively "Rebuild Rochester", we want to make this as easy as possible for everyone. Our volunteers will consist of high school students and alumni from Rochester Community Schools and nearby communities. This summer, we will be offering new ways to continue to help rebuild our community! We have already completed so many successful projects and events to contribute to the community (see "Finished Projects"). Stay tuned as we create new programs and plans...
