At Rebuild Rochester, we are in the process of taking on tons of different ideas and projects to make Rochester a better place! Below are some of the events coming up and the information for them so you can get involved in your community:
SMALL BUSINESS FEATURE
Do you or someone you know run a small business in Rochester? If so, send us a message to be featured on our Instagram! Small businesses are among the groups of people impacted the most by the pandemic, and as a group our goal is to help these people. So, we have come up with the idea to feature any businesses on our Instagram to promote them and encourage our following to support them and check them out. If you would like your business to be featured, email us at rebuildroch2020@gmail.com or DM @rebuild.rochester on IG with a picture of your business/product, the name, and a small quote about how COVID has impacted your business and what changes you have had to make. Remember this can be ANY type of small business (at-home, restaurant, etc)… there are no restrictions. We want to see your business!

TUTORING PROGRAM
The tutoring program is an ongoing program of ours that will go as long as we have enough students. You can find more information on the tutoring page of our website! We currently have over 300 students and tutors signed up and we cannot wait for more to be a part of our program. |

Over the past few months, a number of world and societal issues have come up in regards to human rights, and the safety of the people. As a student-led community organization, it is our duty to be aware and educate others about what's going on in the world. So, we will be posting a series of Instagram posts each about a current event to raise awareness and provide help to those in need. COMMUNITY GARDEN
Our fabulous committee has spent this summer running a beautiful community garden in the Rochester Downtown area! We are growing a multitude of vegetables from tomatoes and peppers, to cucumbers and squash. Our plants look healthy and full! Sign up on our sign up genius to take a visit to our garden or go water. All fresh food grown will be donated to food banks to help food insecurity during these tough times.

Apply to be a part of our community committee!
In this committee, students can play an active role in Rebuild Rochester and offer up their creative ideas and plans to help the community. We ask that you only apply if you agree to participate in all events planned by the organization and provide your input when asked for it. We will hold group meetings when necessary where individuals can present their ideas for events or listen to others. Everyone will be added to a group chat where we can talk with everyone as a whole. This is a great way for people to build leadership skills and take an active role in helping our city, in addition to meeting people all over the district and make new connections. We encourage everyone and anyone to apply, and we hope that you decide to join us!
